Alchemy släpptes som ett dubbel-album 1984 och som VHS och LD-film. Denna dubbel LP en liveskiva från 1984 är ju faktiskt riktigt bra. Jag skulle väl säga att Dire Straits går stick i stäv med det mesta jag lyssnat och lyssnar på men  Dire Straits paus under hela 1984 men gav dock ut live-LP:n Al-chemy.
